Grammys!

Tonight was the Grammy Awards and for those of you that didn't have a chance to watch it was quite the performance. Beyonce and Taylor Swift were the biggest winners of the night, taking home Best Single and Best Album respectively. In my opinion they were well deserved! Other bands like Kings of Leon and Zac Brown Band made some surprise appearances on stage. Overall the performances at the awards show is the real reason to watch. Lady Gaga and Elton John didn't disappoint, while P!NK did a death-defying acrobatic performance in the air. See below for video. Oh, and YAY Taylor!!!

Give me some American Honey

So I'm kind of obsessed with Lady Antebellum. I saw them open for Jason Aldean in Salina, KS in November 2008 and they've pretty much exploded on the country pop scene since. They're like a group version of Taylor Swift where you want to sing along to every song and the lyrics are always the story of your life. Lady A's new album Need You Now came out Tuesday. It's pretty much the best thing ever... one of my favorite songs is American Honey. You can see why below. They're also going on tour with Tim McGraw this summer = AMAZING! Check their site for dates but I'm pretty sure Tim and Lady A make an unstoppable combination as far as summer country concerts go. Put on your cowboy boots and let's go!

Surprise!

So my mom had the funniest phone call for me today! It was recently my cousin's birthday, who also just got engaged, so my mom sent her a fun package of wedding magazines and books as her gift. A week later, my mom receives a sweet thank you card in the mail from her, which included "p.s. I loved the picture of Kristina!". Sure enough, our wedding was chosen to be featured in Tucson Bride and Groom without us knowing! Thanks to mom's gift, we found this out! Here is the link to the online version:

Calling all you Guidos and Guidettes! Yea yea yea. Here's The Situation. W, Aubs and I are throwing our first ever Dirty Jersey party this Saturday. It's funny to me how quickly Jersey Shore has picked up. It's a cultural phenomenon. I've only seen one episode and yet still found it necessary to spend an entire Saturday shopping for my outfit. I definitely miss themed date dashes from college so this party will be serving as my "you're a responsible adult now" replacement. So far my outfit contains a black buckle dress with a boombox necklace and lace gloves!

And even though I've been told Snooki is openly against Bump Its, I decided to get one. After all, I need all the help I can get if I'm going to transform myself into a true Jersey Girl. Right now the plan is to hand out name tags and Jagerbombs as guests enter the apartment. They will then make their way into the living room aka Club Karma. DJ Pauly D has put together some killer tracks with some raging techno beats. I'm still trying to get down all the lingo of a Guidette, it's like an entirely different language! But, after going through the nickname generator for a good hour (I really need to be more productive) I came up with the perfect nickname - "Tanny" 

This should be an epic beginning to the year.
